The Havant District Pubwatch scheme is a local network for Havant and the surrounding area that has been set up to support licensed premises.
It is a voluntary organization and its aim is to help reduce alcohol-related crime. This will ultimately achieve a safer drinking environment, benefiting both licensee and customer.
The Pubwatch network is supported by the Havant Police Licensing Unit and is made up of its 62 members from across all areas of Emsworth, Havant, Hayling Island, Leigh Park and Waterlooville.
Members of Havant District Pubwatch regularly meet and discuss issues relating to social responsibility, the safety of it's regular customers and visitors to the area.
Another talking point is how to create an enviroment whereby all businesses in the local towns can benefit and prosper by reducing alcohol-related problems.
